TEXT: 1 Thesalonian 5:23

Theme: DELIVERANCE THROUGH THROUGH SANCTIFIED LIFE

INTRO.: When Paul wrote the word may the God of peace Himself SANCTIFY YOU COMPLETELY. He is speaking to the wholeness of man. The wholeness of Man is compose of a Tripartite being with the spirit soul and body. This beautiful created being which was formed in the likeness of God (Gen. 1:26-27) become a living soul (Gen 2:7) and was commission to be fruitful. To subdue and to have dominion (Gen. 1:28). But man fall from his position that resulted to His outcast in Eden and to accept the just punishment of his action (Gen. 3:23; Rom 5:12; 6:23).

I. CONSEQUENCE OF SIN .

a. Man become more wicked - Gen. 6:5-7

b. Man sink deeply to sin - Exo. 20:3-5

Take note that the consequence of sin range from 3rd to 4th generation of clan.

II GOD'S PLAN!

a. He prophesied that he will rescue man from sin - Gen. 3 -14-15

1. By giving His son to be a ransom for sin - John 3:16; Gal. 4:4

2. To take away the punishment of death to man - Rom. 6:23b

3. To restore man to his former state and become God's heirs and son John 1:12; Gal. 4:6-7

But being forgiven does not qualify us, to cut the consequence of sin committed by our forefathers unless personally dealth with - 2 Sam 12:13-20

b. Our tripartite being must undergo complete change Verse 23

1.. Spirit - Has the same double meaning in both Hebrew (Ruah) & Greek (Pnuema) .

Which both means wind or spirit (John 3:3-7) He should experience the new birth.

2. . Soul - Psyche - G.W. which means usage is soul (Rom. 12:1-2; Col. 3:1-2). Should experience transformation by renewing of mind (Character of man)

3. Body - G. W. meaning body (Rom 7:23-24a; Gal 5:16-17) Must be delivered from spiritual lust slaving the physical body and not the spirit.

Take note that Christian undergo personal deliverance with evil spirit manifesting should be labeled demonized not posses.

III . WHAT CAUSES STRONGHOLD

a. It can be a genetic curse

1. Exo. 20:3-5 - Consequence can be reap from 3rd to 4th generation of clan.

2. Lam 5:7 - Forefathers who was buried practicing sin manifest and face by children.

3. Jer. 31:29 - Likewise children suffers because of the sin of their parents.

b. Experience from occultic practice - Deut. 18:10-12

Example - Parents participate in Voodoo consult Quack Doctor children offer to idols.

c. History of the past - 1 Cor. 6:16-18

Example - Sexual molested - A Person who was a victim of child molestation and the charge give to him/her was related to child molestation.

The spirit of molestation was transferred to him.\/her by the person who molest him/her. This cause soul tie to the persons life.

Soul Tie in the bible can be describe not only by the word knit but also by the word cleave which according to strong's exhausting concordance means to bring close together from close after be attached to someone or adhere to one another as a glue.
