WHY SOME PEOPLE ARE NOT DELIVERED?
1.
INTRODUCTION:
One
possible way for a person to get healed is through deliverance. Jesus, during
His earthly visit, ministered healing to the spirit, soul and body of people as
well as delivering them from the powers of darkness. Actually, Luke 4:31-36
recorded His first act of healing which involved the casting out of a demon.

REASONS WHY PEOPLE MAY NOT BE HEALED OR DELIVERED:
In
deliverance, there are questions such as: Why some people, after deliverance
are yet still not delivered? Why some are not set free after they have been
ministered? Why some are not healed when they have been prayed for?
If a
person is not set free or healed, there are always some reasons why.
1. The
counselor must be spiritually prepared. (Mark 9:29)
2. The
counselee must be firm of his belief or faith, and not dual in spirit. Mark
9.-23-24).
3. Our
'western world view' is a major contributor to the ability of demons to stay
with their hosts.
The whole
subject of spiritual beings has been relegated by western societies to the realm
of superstition and make-believe.
Furthermore,
our churches and training institutions have been infected with western
assumptions such as: "If you can't see it, it either doesn't exist or
can't be very important, and 'If a thing can be explained scientifically,
neither God nor Satan is involved.'
4. Our
ignorance of evil spirits.
A related
reason is our own ignorance concerning the ways in which the & enemy' does
his job.
Satan's
primary strategy is to keep us "ignorant".
People
interpret the pressures put on them by demons as that of their own natural
desires and their difficulties in opposing such pressures as their own
weakness. 'And they get discourages.
5. Our
failure to deal with internal garbage.
Whether
because of ignorance, unwillingness, or laziness, a certain number of people
never deal with internal garbage.
Often
they feel that's just the way things are for them.
They
don't seem to know God can give freedom and that God can heal.
Since
they don't deal with the garbage, they continue to harbor any demon attached to
it.
6. Some
suspect they have demons but are unable to get help.
This
problem speaks of the discouraging inability of some churches to deal with
demonization.
7. Some
who have demons choose to keep them.
Often
these are people who have been given special power by demons to know certain
things or control certain situations.
If they
consider getting rid of the demons, they hear lies such as, 'If you get rid of
me, you will have no more ability to control your life or to know things others
don't know.
Out of
fear of loosing such advantage they hang onto the demons.
They have
been told they also have special protection - "You will lose all your
protection if you abandon me".
8. When
wallow negative reactions to emotional wounds.
Retaining
reaction to abuse such as anger, bitterness, un-forgiveness, and self-rejection
weaken our system to such extent that demons are able to retain. Ephesians
4:26-27, 'harboring the type of feelings that give the enemy a foothold and a
reason to retain'.
9. Un-confessed sin.
Apparently,
hidden and unconfessed sin gives the enemy the right to live within.
Whether
it is an obvious sin such as adultery or abortion, or a less recognized sin
like un-forgiveness or anger, when we hide sin we are in grave danger that the
demon will live within.
10.
Praying for the wrong thing.
Those who
are praying are only praying about the symptoms, whereas they should be praying
about the situation that underlies the symptoms. They are not at all interested
in God bring order to all areas of their life and it is not surprising
therefore, that healing or deliverance usually eludes them.
11.
Ungodly soul-ties are still in place.
12. There
are occult powers in place whose control has not been broken either in the
counselee or in those with whom there is a close linking.
13. There
is little or no anointing in the place of ministry - due to unclean ground,
buildings or organizations.
14.
Curses of sickness or death are still in place.
15.
Generational sin anct/or demonization has not been dealt with.
16. The
counselee is living in denial of the real problem.
17. The
counselee has made inner vows which need to be renounced.
18. The
counselee is in disobedience over something God has already told them to do
(which they are not agreeing to do).
19, The
counselee doesn't really want to be healed.
20.
Legalism.
21.
Blocked memories that need to be released.
22. The
ministry team are not in a right relationship with each other and are blocking
the anointing.
23. God's
timing.
24. The
person is suffering from a sickness that is unto death and needs to be prepared
to meet the Lord.
